Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting HSE Design Activities: Ensuring designs meet contract specifications within budget and schedule.
  • HSE Input in Engineering Designs: Integrating HSE requirements to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Providing HSE design inputs across departments and offices.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Leading a team of engineers and designers, managing manhours, and overseeing project documents till completion.
  • Safety Studies and Reviews: Organizing and participating in HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, PHSER reviews, and conducting safety studies and calculations.
  • Procurement and Vendor Liaison: Assisting procurement teams, liaising with vendors, and ensuring on-time delivery of HSE studies and equipment.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining quality records, including self-checks, error counts, and resolution of technical and client comments.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in risk & safety engineering or 10 years in loss prevention engineering within consultancy, FEED, or EPC environments in the oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry.
