Educational Qualifications
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neurologic care including assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, referrals, and coordination of care.
- Participate in after-visit care, including result reporting and follow-up communications.
- Engage in quality management activities and committee participation as assigned.
- Supervise and evaluate residents and medical students from Stony Brook rotating on the Northport VAMC Neurology service.
