Selection Process
The selection process comprises four key stages:
- Written Exam (Computer Based)
- Typing Test (Unicode)

Written Exam Pattern
The written test is computer-based and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) distributed as follows:
- General Knowledge: 40 questions for 50 marks
- Mental Ability & Reasoning: 40 questions for 50 marks
- Computer Science: 80 questions for 100 marks
The total number of questions is 160, with a maximum score of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes), and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Typing Test/Skill Test
The typing test assesses the typing skills of candidates in both English and Hindi:
- English Typing Speed (Unicode): 30 words per minute with a duration of 15 minutes
- Hindi Typing Speed (Unicode): 25 words per minute with a duration of 15 minutes
Candidates will be given a passage of 700 words in English and 500 words in Hindi to type. There is a break of 10 minutes between the English and Hindi typing tests. Hindi typing is performed on a UNICODE-based In-script keyboard.
