Indian Navy Collaborates with Uber
- The Indian Navy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uber to offer reliable and economical mobility solutions for naval personnel and their families across India.
- This initiative aligns with the Chief of the Naval Staff’s vision of ‘Happy Personnel’ and promotes the Government of India’s ‘Digital India’ vision.
Initiatives Launched for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)
- The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) launched 5 initiatives to foster inclusivity and empower PwDs.
- An Online Case Monitoring Portal was introduced to simplify and expedite the grievance resolution process for PwDs.
- The initiatives were inaugurated by Pratima Bhoumi, Minister of State at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
Varuna-23: Indo-French Naval Exercise
- The Indian and French Navy conducted the second phase of the 21st edition of the Varuna bilateral maritime exercise in the Arabian Sea.
- This edition marks the 25th year of the Indo-French strategic partnership, with the exercise being initiated in 1993 and named "Varuna" in 2001.

Green Hydrogen Production Initiative
- NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Nayara Energy Limited have signed an MoU to collaborate on green hydrogen production.

Sir Ian Wilmut
- The creator of Dolly, the cloned sheep, Sir Ian Wilmut passed away on 10th September 2023.
- Wilmut led the team at the Roslin Institute at the University of Edinburgh that created Dolly in 1996.
- Co-creator of PowerPoint, Dennis Austin, passed away recently.
- Austin was the primary developer of PowerPoint from 1985 until his retirement in 1996.

- Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer released six special postal covers featuring "Manyam Viplava Saradhi Alluri Sitarama Raju" as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
