In an inspiring move, professors from Allahabad University and its constituent college, CMP, are offering free coaching to underprivileged students under the shade of a tree. Dr. Ankur and Dr. Anant Singh have initiated this unique form of education, which they refer to as "Gurukul," to help economically disadvantaged students who often have to give up their studies due to financial constraints. The professors have set up this open-air classroom near the Fafamau railway crossing in Prayagraj. The initiative aims to provide education in a natural environment and instill values of brotherhood, humanity, love, and discipline among the students. Alongside regular subjects, the Gurukul also offers knowledge in Vedas, Dharmashastra, astrology, and rituals. Currently, a significant number of competitive exam aspirants are benefiting from this initiative. Dr. Anant Singh explains that the primary objective of the "Back to Gurukul" campaign is to provide education in a natural setting and to impart the wisdom of Sanatan culture. The initiative also focuses on yoga, meditation, chanting, arts, sports, and crafts to develop intellectual and critical thinking among the students. The Initiative in Detail
