Mudra Gairola, often referred to as one of the most beautiful IAS officers, hails from Karnaprayag in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Her journey to becoming an IAS officer is nothing short of inspiring. From her childhood, Mudra was academically brilliant. She scored an impressive 96% in her 10th-grade exams and 97% in her 12th-grade board exams. After completing her schooling, Mudra pursued BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a medical college in Mumbai, where she not only excelled academically but also secured a gold medal. Mudra's journey to clear the UPSC exams was filled with challenges and perseverance. In 2018, she attempted the UPSC civil services exam for the first time and managed to reach the interview round. However, her subsequent attempts in 2019 and 2020 were not successful. But Mudra did not give up. In 2021, she cleared the UPSC exam with a commendable rank of 165 and became an IPS officer. Her determination didn't stop there. In 2022, she cleared the UPSC exam again, this time securing the 53rd rank, and achieved her dream of becoming an IAS officer. After completing her graduation, Mudra moved to Delhi and enrolled in an MDS program.
