Born in 1994 in Beed, Maharashtra, Dadasaheb Bhagat came from a family that struggled to make ends meet. His parents worked in sugarcane fields, and the family's financial situation was so dire that Dadasaheb had to start working at the age of 14. He took up jobs like digging wells and sifting soil, earning a mere 80 rupees per day. Despite the hardships, he knew that education was his ticket to a better life. In 2009, Dadasaheb moved to the city and landed a job at Infosys. He started as an office boy, earning a salary of 9,000 rupees. His responsibilities included serving tea and coffee to employees and cleaning the office. While working there, he observed people working on computers and driving fancy cars, which piqued his interest in technology. He began learning about computers and technology right from the Infosys office. Dadasaheb took it upon himself to learn graphic designing and animation. He also completed courses in C++ and Python while still working his day job. His curiosity and drive to learn led him to take up a job with a graphics company, where he honed his skills in graphics, VFX, and motion graphics. Life threw a curveball at Dadasaheb when he met with an accident. He had to return to his village for three months. During this period, he rented a laptop from a friend and started creating and selling templates online. Soon, he was earning more from this venture than his regular salary. In 2016, Dadasaheb founded his own company, Ninthmotion, which quickly gained over 40,000 active users. Not stopping there, he designed a new online graphics designing software similar to Canva, called DooGraphics. Today, both his companies are worth over 2 crores, and he has received offers from major companies. Dadasaheb's hard work and determination were acknowledged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 'Mann Ki Baat' program on September 26, 2020. Dadasaheb Bhagat's story is a testament to the power of perseverance, education, and the will to change one's destiny. It's an inspiration for anyone who believes that your past does not define your future. The Infosys Chapter
