Pratibha Verma's life is a testament to the power of dreams and the indomitable human spirit. Hailing from the small town of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Pratibha's journey to becoming an IAS officer is nothing short of extraordinary. She not only broke free from the confines of a predictable life but also overcame numerous challenges, including health setbacks, to achieve her dream. Pratibha's educational journey began in a Hindi medium school and led her to the prestigious IIT Delhi, where she pursued a B.Tech degree. After a stint in the telecom sector with a hefty paycheck, she made a life-altering decision in 2016. She chose to leave her well-paying job to prepare for the UPSC civil services exam. Life wasn't easy for Pratibha. She battled dengue and typhoid but refused to let these health issues deter her. She initially became an IRS officer but her heart yearned for the prestigious IAS tag. Despite health setbacks and a global COVID-19 pandemic, her spirit remained unbreakable. On her third attempt in 2019, she clinched the third rank nationwide, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming an IAS officer. With her newfound position, Pratibha aims to empower women and address children-related issues, particularly in her home state of Uttar Pradesh.
