Rashi Bagga Shatters Records with a Whopping Rs 85 Lakh Job Offer—And She's Not from IIT or IIM!

Rashi Bagga, a BTech student from the International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR), has made headlines by securing a job offer with an annual package of Rs 85 lakh. This achievement sets a new record for the highest salary package ever offered to a student from IIIT-NR.

Breaking the Glass Ceiling

Rashi Bagga's accomplishment is particularly noteworthy because she did not come from the more renowned Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) or Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). Her story challenges the prevailing notion that only graduates from these elite institutions can land high-paying jobs.

A Journey of Persistence

Before landing this record-breaking offer, Rashi had already received a substantial offer from another company. However, she chose to test her skills further in the job market. Her previous experiences include internships as a Software Developer at Amazon and as an SDE Intern at Intuit in Bengaluru. Since July 2023, she has been contributing her expertise to Atlassian as a Product Security Engineer.

Setting New Standards

Rashi's placement has set a new benchmark for IIIT-NR, which has consistently maintained a 100% placement rate for the past five years. Her achievement has also positively impacted the institute's average Cost To Company (CTC) for this year's batch, which now stands at Rs 16.5 lakh per annum, with a median CTC of Rs 13.6 lakh per annum.
