SSC JE 2023 Admit Cards Released: Everything You Need to Know!

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the admit cards for the Junior Engineer (JE) Tier 1 Examination 2023. Candidates can now download their hall tickets from the official website, ssc.nic.in.

Exam Dates and Locations

The SSC JE Tier 1 Examination 2023 is scheduled to be conducted from October 9 to October 11 at various testing locations across India. The exam aims to fill junior positions in civil, mechanical, electrical, quantity surveying, and contracting in several Government of India ministries and departments.

How to Download Your Admit Card

  1. Visit the SSC Official Website: Go to ssc.nic.in.
  2. Click on 'Admit Card' Tab: Located on the homepage.
  3. Select Your Region: Choose the region you applied from.
  4. Enter Credentials: Input your 'Registration Number' and 'Date of Birth'.
  5. Download and Print: Your admit card will appear on the screen. Download and take a printout for future reference.

Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

Paper-I

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 marks
  • General Awareness: 50 marks
  • Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) or Part-C: General Engineering (Mechanical): 100 marks
  • Duration: 2 Hours (2 hours and 40 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe)

Paper-II

  • Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or Part-B: General Engineering (Electrical) or Part-C: General Engineering (Mechanical): 300 marks
  • Duration: 2 Hours (2 hours and 40 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe)

Marking Scheme

The exam will feature objective multiple-choice questions. Negative marking equal to one-third of the marks assigned to the question will be applied for each incorrect response.

Answer Key and Objections

After the test, provisional answer keys will be provided on the Commission's website. Candidates can lodge online objections within the period allotted by the Commission at a non-refundable cost of Rs. 100 per question.
