Born on May 29, 1974, in Tamil Nadu, VK Pandian's educational journey began at Neyveli Sports Hostel, established by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu. He later pursued a BSc in Agriculture from the Agriculture College and Research Institute in Madurai. Not stopping there, he moved to Delhi to complete his post-graduation from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.

The UPSC Journey

In the year 2000, Pandian cleared the UPSC Civil Service exam, becoming an Odisha cadre IAS officer. His career took off as a sub-collector in Kalahandi district's Dharamgarh in 2004.

Career Milestones

VK Pandian served as the private secretary to Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha, in May 2011.
