You've Cracked the MHA IB Written Test: What's Next?

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has released the results for the IB Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical (JIO-II/Tech) Tier 1 Examination 2023. The exam, which took place on July 22, is the first step in a multi-tiered selection process. Over 4,000 candidates have been shortlisted for the Tier-II exam, and the Intelligence Bureau aims to fill 797 positions through this recruitment drive.

What Comes After Tier-I?

Candidates who have cleared the Tier-I exam will be notified via email or SMS to download their call letters for the Tier-II and Tier-III exams. The call letters will include essential details such as the date, time, and venue for the next stages of the selection process.

Tier-II: Skill Test

The Skill Test is the second stage in the IB JIO selection process. It aims to assess the practical and technical abilities required for the job. This test carries a weightage of 30 marks and is likely to take place in November or December 2023, although official confirmation is still pending.

Tier-III: Interview Round

The final stage is the Interview or Personality Test, designed to evaluate the candidate's suitability for the role. This round carries a weightage of 20 marks.

Pay Scale for Selected Candidates

Those who are selected for the position of Junior Intelligence Officer will fall under Grade Pay Level-4, with a pay scale ranging from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100.

Clearing the MHA IB JIO Tier 1 Exam is just the first step in a multi-tiered selection process. Candidates must prepare for the Skill Test and Interview rounds to secure one of the 797 positions offered by the Intelligence Bureau.
